Officially Released, ASUS Zenfone 8 Claims ‘The Incredible Mini’

Long time no release of a new series, ASUS Indonesia officially launches mobile phones flagship Zenfone 8. Mobile phones with screens measuring 5.9 inches or smaller than most cellphones are currently also being billed as ‘The Incredible Mini.’

This latest Zenfone series phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor, with Adreno™ 660 graphics, up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

These specifications make this mini-sized phone very comfortable powerful.

ASUS Indonesia Product Sales Manager Galih Wardhana said global data on mobile phone shipments to Indonesia in the 2nd quarter of 2021 increased 49 percent or around 10 million units compared to the 2nd quarter of the previous year.

This indicates that the mobile phone market in Indonesia is still very potential and makes ASUS do something about it comeback to the Indonesian market.

“That’s why ASUS took the initiative to comeback bring back product line up segment daily use Zenfone series to Indonesia in addition to segments gaming from our existing phones,” said Galih at the virtual ASUS Zenfone 8 release, Friday (15/10).

ASUS’ presence in the Indonesian market is also expressed as an embodiment of ASUS’ mission to deliver high-quality smartphones that provide the best experience in communication.

“As the name implies, The Incredible Mini, with a 5.9-inch screen area, ASUS wants to provide a new experience for the Indonesian market in easy surfing on social media and communicating with one hand,” said Jimmy Lin, ASUS Regional Director Southeast Asia in an official statement, Friday (15/10).

In addition to the flagship class processor, Zenfone 8 is also equipped with a large capacity 4000 mAh battery supported by a 30-watt HyperCharge adapter, making this phone last for long periods of use.

On the camera front, this phone uses sensors from Sony, including a dual rear camera with a 64 MP IMX686 wide-angle main camera and a 12 MP IMX363 ultrawide-angle secondary camera. The 12MP punch-hole autofocus front camera uses the latest IMX663 sensor which is said to be able to take sharp and clear selfies at every angle.

Then Zenfone 8 is equipped with an ultra-fast 120 Hz AMOLED screen with a response time of 1 ms which makes scrolling feel smooth and visually blur-free. Then this phone also has a DCI-P3 112% color accuracy which makes every color more precise.

In addition, the screen of this phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the protection side.

ASUS Zenfone 8 can be purchased by users on October 15 through ASUS’ offline and online sales channels. The phone is offered in two configurations and two color variants. Here are the prices for the ASUS Zenfone 8:
