JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) finally officially launched the New Yaris in Indonesia Tuesday (8/9/2020). This hatchback gets some refreshments from both the exterior and interior.
“As a form of appreciation, we are again providing improvements to Yaris in order to meet the growing needs of customer mobility,” said Vice President Director of PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) Henry Tanoto, in an official release, Tuesday (9/8/2020).

Machine
Unlike the model in Thailand, the New Yaris in Indonesia still carries the 2NR-FE engine with a capacity of 1,500 cc with 107 ps or the equivalent of 105 tk which is capable of producing a maximum torque of 14.8 kgm or the equivalent of 145 Nm.
Exterior
From the exterior, the New Yaris 2020 gets several changes, including in the section it looks more sporty with the main highlight which is now LED technology and the position of the DRL which has now moved to the front of the main lights.
Meanwhile for Toyota Yaris the previous type only the TRD Sportivo type that already uses LED lights.
The back side also doesn’t have many changes. the red highlight on the New Yaris still uses LED technology.
Interior
As for the interior, the New Yaris has not undergone too many changes from the previous model, namely that some of the interior ornaments still use silver which makes the cabin of the Toyota New Yaris look more modern.
In addition, in terms of entertainment, New Yaris has been equipped with a new entertainment system with miracast, bluetooth and USB features. Whereas specifically for the TRD Sportivo variant, it is equipped with a new parking camera.

Safety features
Talking about safety features, the New Yaris is equipped with airbags that match your needs, it can be 7 airbags or 3 airbags. In addition, New Yaris also has Hill Start Assist (HSA) which will be useful when climbing by holding the car for 2 to 3 seconds, when all the car pedals are not stepped on.
Both the New Yaris and the previous Yaris are equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS), brake assist (BA), electronic braking distribution (EBD), and vehicle stability control.
Price
The previous Yaris model was marketed from IDR 250,950 million (EM / T type) to IDR 291,450 million type (S CVT TRD)
While the new model is now priced from IDR 263.4 million (GM / T type 3 airbags) to IDR 301.4 million (TRD CVT 7 airbags type)
