Leroy Sane finally officially became a player Bayern Munich. Bayern have completed the transfer process from Sane Manchester City.
Through its official website, Bayern announced the arrival of Sane, Friday (07/03/2020). The player born in Essen, Germany, signed a contract that is valid until 2025.
“We are happy to welcome Leroy Sane to FC Bayern. He is a player who has proven its quality over the last few years, especially in the national team,” Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.
“Our goal is to gather the best German players at FC Bayern and Leroy’s recruitment emphasizes this goal. I want to congratulate Hasan Salihamidzic (Sports Director) for the success of this transfer.”
Sane has long been linked with Bayern. The news of his move strengthened after he refused a contract extension with City.
“We are happy that Leroy is a Bayern player. Leroy is a differentiator and will strengthen our team with its quality,” Salihamidzic said.
Sane completed the second part of his medical test on Friday (3/7/2020) morning local time. He then returned to the Bayern training center to complete the transfer process.
According to the news reported Sky Sports, Bayern will pay 49 million euros (Rp 795 billion) for the 24-year-old’s transfer. This figure does not include a series of bonuses that can reach 11 million euros.
That means City has the potential to receive a total of 60 million euros (Rp. 974 billion) from Sane’s transfers. City will also receive 10% of the profit Bayern gets from selling Sane in the future.
Before the transfer was inaugurated, photographs of Sane in a Bayern uniform had circulated on social media. This incident made Bayern apologize to City.
