The Bucharest Committee for Emergency Situations (CMBSU) met on Sunday to adopt measures, after the incidence of COVID-19 cases rose from 3 per thousand.

Thus, starting with the night of Sunday (March 7) to Monday (March 8), from 00:00, several restrictions come into force, including the closure of restaurants.

“The activity with the public of economic operators carrying out activities of preparation, marketing and consumption of food and / or alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, such as restaurants and cafes, inside buildings, as well as inside other enclosed public spaces with roofs is prohibited. , ceiling or ceiling and which are delimited by at least two walls, regardless of whether they are temporary or permanent constructions“, stipulates the CMBSU decision.

The normative act also stipulates that the activity in bars, clubs and discos is forbidden, as well as that with the public of the economic operators licensed in the field of gambling, except for carrying out the activity of marketing LOTO tickets, bets and lottery tickets, in compliance with the sanitary protection measures.

CMBSU judgment prohibits the organization and activity of the public in cinemas, performance and / or concert institutions, including those of the drive-in type.

It is also not permitted to organize and hold outdoor performances, concerts, public and private festivals or other cultural events.

It is mandatory to wear a protective mask, so as to cover the nose and mouth for all persons who have reached the age of 5, in all open public spaces.

Students still going to classes

In addition, CMBSU has decided that preschoolers, students in primary education and up to half of students in grades VIII, XII, XIII and those in the final years of vocational and post-secondary education will attend classes. .

The measures were ordered by CMBSU starting March 8, at 00:00, for a period of 14 days, and will be re-evaluated at the end of it.

The decision stipulates that in the educational units the participation in classes is carried out with physical presence for: all preschoolers and students in primary education; students in grades VIII, XII, XIII and those in the final years of vocational and post-secondary education, in compliance with and application of all protection rules, up to half of the total number of students enrolled in those final classes .

It is allowed to organize with the physical presence in the educational units the following activities: simulations of national exams and exams for the final years; national assessments; remedial classes for all classes.

The situation of COVID cases in the Capital

The infection rate in Bucharest was 3.12 per thousand on Saturday, after over 900 cases of infection were confirmed in the last 2 days. On Saturday, the Strategic Communication Group announced 906 cases, and on Friday 927.

The infection rate has risen from 3 per thousand since Friday, when it was 3.05 cases per thousand inhabitants.

According to the authorities, most of the cases of infection with the new strain in Great Britain were registered in the Capital, but also one of the two cases of infection with the South African strain detected in Romania.
