After being sacked Quique Setien, FC Barcelona announced today that it has found a joint agreement with its sports director Éric Abidal in order to terminate his contract.
“FC Barcelona and Eric Abidal have reached an agreement to breaking of contract that united the two parties. The club would like to thank Eric Abidal for his professionalism, his commitment, his dedication and the positive treatment he has shown towards all the sectors that make up the Blaugrana family, “the Catalan club announced in its press release.
While the club had held an exceptional meeting on Monday to make decisions after the catastrophic end of the season, Abidal is the second victim of this big cleaning and follows a Quique Setien which should be replaced soon by Ronald Koeman.
