Oddities from the neighborhood: Täxeler throws himself death-defying on the hood of VW Golf

A woman parked her VW Golf in a taxi park on Saturday. A taxi driver called the police and wanted to prevent the woman from driving away by throwing himself on her hood.

Konstanz (D), August 22nd, 2020: A woman (43) parked her Golf at the train station in Konstanz in the parking area for taxis. A taxi driver didn’t want to put up with that and called the police. Before this arrived, the woman wanted to leave. Not with the Täxeler: he dared to pounce on her bonnet. The woman drove off. Passers-by were finally able to stop the car. The taxi driver was only slightly injured. The woman has lost her ticket.

Öhningen, Konstanz district (D), July 3rd, 2020: During a motorcycle inspection, a man was noticed who was not wearing a helmet.  He had stowed it in the compartment.  Having pointed out that helmets are compulsory, he replied to the officers, completely unimpressed, that he had just come from the hairdresser and that he could not wear a helmet, as otherwise his hairstyle would be destroyed.

On Saturday around 2:25 p.m. there was a curious incident in front of the train station in Konstanz, as the police headquarters in Konstanz wrote in a message. A 43-year-old woman parked her VW Golf in the taxi parking area and then left. A 54-year-old taxi driver then informed the police.

The woman came back before the police even arrived. To avoid driving away, the taxi driver positioned himself in front of the car. Unimpressed, the woman drove off according to the police. In order not to be run over, the taxi driver jumped “death-defying on the hood of the VW Golf”.

She even asked for damages

The woman continued her journey with the taxi driver on the hood across Bahnhofstrasse into Sigismundstrasse. There passers-by became aware of the situation and stood in front of the vehicle. Finally the adventurous journey ended and the taxi driver could jump off the bonnet. He suffered only minor bruises on his knees and various abrasions.

After consulting the public prosecutor, the woman’s ticket was withheld. Last but not least, she demanded compensation from the taxi driver on site for the damage to her vehicle.
