Even the capricious weather on Sunday did not stop the troop of the Sportunion Waidhofen running team on their way to Graz. Tobias Samassa, Denis Kronsteiner, Damjan Eror and Paul Schedlbauer were guests at the Styrian obstacle championships. “It should serve as a test for the state championships in Vienna in two weeks”, explains Leopold Schauppenlehner.

Despite the storm and rain, the young athletes delivered great performances. Damjan Eror won over 2,000 meters in the U18 class. Halfway through the race, he took the lead and never gave it up. Paul Schedlbauer had to face 3,000 meters in the U20.

“The training sessions in the past few weeks paid off, because Paul ran an excellent race,” said Schauppenlehner happily together with coach Milan Eror. In 10:02 minutes he came close to his best time in third place and is therefore well equipped for the state championships on May 15th in Vienna. For Denis Kronsteiner and Tobias Samassa it was the first obstacle course with a water ditch in their running careers. You gained your first experiences with it.
