A must: a visit to the Setaro pasta factory as well as to the city administration with acting mayor Anaclerio Nicola. Another highlight was the get-together with Pastor Don Pasquale Paduano, during which he received a donation of 2,000 euros from the BZ Christmas wish campaign to support the distribution of food. The performance with the folklore group

Helpers in action

The trigger was the information at the beginning of June about the precarious situation at the Emmendingen, Herbolzheim and Waldkirch food banks: basic foodstuffs are missing. “Die Hilfemacher” from Sexau became active. As early as the middle of the month, the Herbolzheim food bank was not only able to collect 75 kilograms of Buchholz pasta, but also took over groceries bought from the aid workers. At the end of the month there was another shopping campaign for the Emmendingen and Waldkirch food banks. Part of the money, amounting to 2,500 euros, comes from the Ukraine emergency fund. The next purchases are required by August at the latest. In addition, the helpers ask for further donations, information under http://www.diehilfemacher.de Donations under IBAN DE03 6805 0101 0013 2479 60, keyword “Ukraine”.

Rally Winner

The overall winners of the 19th ADAC MSRT Breisgau veteran rally all drove motorcycles. This is reported by the motorsport racing team from Freiamt after their competition. MSRT winner was Kim Kehrer from Freiburg ahead of Bruno Tornow from Malterdingen and Brigitte Niekerke from Bad Iburg. A total of 283 vehicles were registered for the MSRT Freiamt event. Only 120 instead of the expected 500 participants took part in the parade on Sunday. The number of spectators was also very limited due to the intense heat. The club estimates a good 2,000 fewer than usual. The winners were honored by MSRT chairwoman Nicole Reifert, sports director Sebbi Fakler and veterans’ consultant and expedition leader Frank Bcherer.
