The new Playstation from Sony is in great demand and still hardly available. The mobile operator o2 now has the console in stock – in conjunction with a two-year contract. For whom it could be worthwhile.
The Playstation 5 is still a scarce commodity almost half a year after its publication. Even months later, the manufacturer Sony fails to meet the demand from enthusiastic customers for the Game console cover up.
The mobile operator o2 is now using this for clever marketing: The popular console is available without a drive here – in connection with a mobile contract. Many large retailers such as Amazon, Media-Markt, Otto or Saturn currently have no quotas. If you are looking for a new mobile phone contract and are ready to commit yourself for 24 months, you could now get one of the coveted ones at o2 Consoles to get.

As a customer, you don’t pay a one-off price for the console, but a monthly contract fee. The mobile phone provider offers various contract models for this. The cheapest is Playstation in combination with the O2 contract “Free M” for a monthly rate of 39.99 euros and a one-off cost of 40 euros. According to information from CO2, the “Free M” is the most popular CO2 tariff.

There are also other tariffs: For 44.95 euros customers get 40 GB of data volume and for 49.99 euros Netflix or SkyTicket is available free of charge for 12 months, as well as unlimited data volume with 5G standard. Only 4G is available for the other tariffs.
Who is the deal worth it for?
Anyone who opts for the tariff with o2 still has to wait a bit for their Playstation 5: The mobile operator points out that the console will only be sent after the SIM card has been activated and after the statutory objection period of 14 days has expired. Currently, the estimated delivery time on the provider’s website is even three weeks.
But is the deal worth it? A Playstation 5 costs 399 euros in the digital version without a mobile phone tariff – if you can get hold of one.
The costs for tariff and console after a two-year contract period total EUR 1,000.75. Existing customers are offered a lower price and pay a total of 780.76 euros after two years.
The Free-M tariff costs 29.99 euros for new customers without a console and adds up to 759.75 euros after 24 months, existing customers pay 359.76 euros. So it is cheaper for both existing and new customers to book a console and tariff in a bundle.
The offer from o2 can be worthwhile for gamers who are already looking for a mobile phone contract without a smartphone and may already be an o2 customer. For everyone else, take a look at the following websites in the coming weeks to get hold of a console.
