NEW YORK – Police are looking for two suspects who have allegedly carried out at least 15 robberies in a period of three weeks in New York City.
A pair of armed robbers have successfully struck more than a dozen times in less than a month, hitting victims across Manhattan and the Bronx since mid-June, according to the NYPD.
The duo generally committed the robberies from a motorized scooter in the Bronx and Manhattan areas. During the robberies, suspects display a firearm or threaten to have one, and demand the victims’ belongings, police said Saturday.
They are responsible for at least 15 robberies dating back to June 17 and regularly attacked victims across the city until at least July 6, according to a detailed report released by police.
The NYPD said the robbers take their victims’ personal property before fleeing on the scooter. His busiest days were July 3 and 4, with seven robberies recorded between those two days.
According to the incident list, the duo found their victims in Wards 44 and 48 in the Bronx and Wards 33 and 34 in Manhattan.
