New York will have a fun new incentive this winter for those ages 5 to 11 to get their COVID-19 vaccine and for eligible individuals to get their booster shot. It’s about the fire Ski for Free, o Skiing for Free, a six-week raffle that aims to reinforce vaccination among children of this age.

Eligible New Yorkers will be able to enter a random drawing for free tickets to visit participating mountains for skiing, thank you a Ski Areas of New York and la Olympic Regional Development Authority.

The ‘Ski for Free’ raffle includes the following prizes:

For children from 5 to 11 years old– Winners of a total of 240 two-ticket packages (one adult pass and one child pass) will be selected during the six-week drawing period. 40 packages of two tickets will be delivered per week, divided evenly between the two regions. Children ages 5 to 11 who received their first dose of vaccine after November 3 are eligible to enter the drawing. Entries must be completed by a parent or legal guardian, and winners will receive a pair of adult / child ski tickets.

Recipients of the booster vaccine– Winners of a total of 120 individual tickets (one adult pass) will be selected during the six-week drawing period. 20 individual tickets will be awarded per week, divided evenly between the two regions. Individuals 18 years of age and older who received their booster dose after November 3 are eligible to enter the drawing. Entries must be completed by the person who received the booster dose, and the winner will receive an adult ski ticket.

Who meets the requirement?

Children who meet the requirement between the ages of 5 and 11 must be residents of New York State (although they do not have to be U.S. citizens), be between 5 and 11 years old on the date of their first vaccination, and have received at least your first dose of an immunization against the virus that causes COVID-19 authorized for emergency use for your age group by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as of the date of admission .
