Nvidia & MediaTek N1X ARM Processor: Geekbench Performance Reveal

What is NVIDIA N1X?

NVIDIA has partnered with MediaTek to develop the N1X, a new System on a Chip (SoC) built on ARM architecture. This chip is specifically engineered for the laptop market, aiming to challenge existing offerings from Qualcomm, Intel, adn AMD.

If your specifications are so powerful, why is the performance low?

The current performance observed is attributed to the N1X being an early engineering sample. These pre-production units are intentionally configured with conservative power limits, capped at 120W, and lower clock frequencies, set at 1.05 GHz, to ensure stability during testing phases. Consequently, this performance level is not indicative of the product’s final capabilities.

What are its most relevant technical specifications?

Based on leaked information, the N1X SoC is expected to feature a 20-core CPU configuration, comprising 10 high-performance Cortex-X925 cores and 10 efficiency cores. Additionally, it is indeed anticipated to include a GPU utilizing the Blackwell architecture, the same architecture powering NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series graphics cards.
