Di dalam tubuh, air kelapa dan cairan tubuh lainnya menjadi bagian dari darah yang berfungsi membawa oksigen ke sel-sel tubuh. Inilah yang diperlukan oleh sistem kekebalan dan sistem-sistem lainnya agar berfungsi dengan baik. Cairan yang cukup di dalam tubuh juga berguna untuk menghilangkan racun.

Purwantyastuti explained, coconut water is a good drink to restore hydration and replenish electrolytes lost after exercise or when diarrhea. Electrolytes are minerals that play a role in maintaining the balance of body fluids. Some of the vital electrolytes are potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium. All contained in coconut water. Natural coconut water is also low in calories and carbohydrates. Fresher if drunk directly from the fruit.

Although it has many benefits, it is not recommended to drink young coconut water in excess, let alone to replace drinking mineral water with coconut water completely. Purwantyastuti suggests drinking only one or two glasses of coconut water a day. If too much, the potassium content has the potential to interfere with the work of the heart. “As long as it is not excessive, drinking young coconut water will not cause health problems,” he said.
