The NRL has confirmed entertainment programming for Sunday’s historic grand finale at Suncorp Stadiumstarring Kate Miller-Heidke and The Stafford Brothers.

Cold Chisel’s Ian Moss will also appear on the musical offering for the first grand finale to be played outside of New South Wales.

The NRL announced the lineup on Sunday, with Miller-Heidke to perform the national anthem and pregame entertainment alongside Moss.

Timmy Trumpet, didgeridoo player William Barton and a 40-piece orchestra will join The Stafford Brothers to round out the entertainment.

“Performing in the 2015 Grand Final with Cold Chisel was one of those moments in our career that we are all looking to play in, so being invited to perform in the 2021 Grand Final at Suncorp Stadium here in beautiful Sunshine State is an honor. Moss said.

“And sharing the stage with the immensely talented Kate Miller-Heidke and William Barton is an added bonus and a true gift. I can not wait”.

“I am absolutely excited and proud to be able to sing at the grand finale, it is a great honor,” added Miller-Heidke.

The NRL, together with the Queensland government, also announced that several Brisbane landmarks would be illuminated with NRL star images, while Brisbane’s King George Square would be temporarily renamed.

Brisbane City Hall, King George Tower and the Hilton will be illuminated with iconic images of the season, while, in honor of the great player of the Queensland league, Wally Lewis, ‘King Wally Square’ will host a festival of fans of the Two-day NRL.

“This is a historic week for rugby league in Queensland, as we will illuminate some of Brisbane’s best-known venues with iconic images from our season. It is also an opportunity to thank the fans and Queenslanders for hosting us in 2021 ”. Said NRL CEO Abdo.

“The Grand Final is more than a game day, it is a week-long celebration of clubs, players and most importantly the fans. We have a fan festival in King George Square that will be highlighted with the appearance of both teams from the grand finale on Friday. “
