Nreal partners with Galaxy Note 20 release to release mixed reality glasses

Along with the launch of the Galaxy Note 20, another Korean company is launching an important product. These are the Nreal Light mixed reality glasses. Korean mobile operator and internet service provider LG U + presents this partnership between Samsung and Nreal, pre-orders are available from today August 11. It will not be until August 21 that Nreal helmets are available in stores.

The Nreal Light (also called “U + Real Glass”) is a lightweight headset that looks very much like simple sunglasses that attaches to a separate device, in this case the new Samsung Galaxy Note 20. Nreal presents its product as a more complete alternative than a smartphone when you watch videos, play games or browse websites. The Nreal Light is also expected to support Chrome, Facebook and Instagram, and other apps upon launch.

Nreal, the sole survivor of mixed reality for all.

To this day, Nreal remains one of the few companies looking to sell mixed reality glasses to the general public. Magic Leap even sued Nreal for “Blatant copy”, finally dropped the lawsuits last June after making the decision to focus on mixed reality for businesses, leaving the way open to Nreal for individuals. Faced with the many withdrawals in this complicated sector, Nreal seems to be sure of himself and continues his ascent with in particular the Japanese company KDDI and the German company Deutsche Telekom. With the latter, Nreal even founded an incubator dedicated to projects related to mixed reality.

For now, Nreal remains focused on Korean and has not announced any plans to launch in the United States or elsewhere. This consumer version includes a series of nose clips to adapt to different faces, as well as a system for corrective lenses and a “VR cache” black that blocks your outside vision to create a sharper image. It will cost $ 586 for a single pair, and $ 295 with the Galaxy Note 20.
