After the first two sets, nothing indicated that Djokovic he will have such problems with reaching the final. In the first game, Serb broke his rival once, in the second one – two and was leading 6: 3, 6: 2. In the third set, the ATP leaderboard even had the match ball at 5: 4 when he served but didn’t use it. Then he suddenly lost three games in a row and a 5: 7 set. In the fourth game, both players played evenly to the score 5: 4 for Tsistipas. Then the Greek once again took the service from the Serb and won the game 6: 4.

Still with Djokovic in the final
In the last set, the Greek completely disappointed. He broke three times and finally, after three hours and 58 minutes, he was defeated. For Djokovicia it’s a bittersweet victory. The Serb will face Rafael Nadal on Sunday in a match for the championship at Roland Garros. He probably hoped to close the semi-final match against Tsitsipas in three quick sets, and had to play five games.
Djokovic and Nadal will meet on Sunday for the 56th time in their career. The balance is slightly more favorable for a tennis player from Belgrade (29-26). The Spaniard defeated the Argentinian Diego Schwartzman 3-0 in sets in the first semi-final.
