Nothing should stand in the way of the speed races in Val Gardena 2020

Val Gardena – The organizers of the legendary Ski World Cup races on the “Saslong” in Val Gardena can breathe a sigh of relief. The classic ski resort was added to the 2020/21 calendar on Wednesday by the World Ski Association FIS. After the departure was canceled last year and the Super-G was held in a fog soup, this year we will experience two speed races in South Tyrol at Ski World Cup level.
This year it will happen for the 53rd time. The races will take place on December 18 and 19, if everything goes according to plan and the weather is good. The organizers of the Saslong Classic Club, headed by Rainer Senoner, have joy written on their faces. In September you will see what the anti-corona protocols look like and whether the decisions will take place a week before Christmas with or without an audience.
