Messi officially joined PSG in transfer market this summer.
He decided to join PSG after his contract was not extended by Barcelona.
Messi and Barcelona’s contract actually expired on June 30 last.
However, Barcelona are trying hard to extend Messi’s contract.
Contract talks were delayed because the 34-year-old star was still busy defending the Argentine national team in the 2021 Copa America.
When contract talks started again, Messi seemed serious about staying at Barcelona.
The seriousness was shown by Messi through his willingness to ask for his salary to be cut by up to 50 percent.
