Dubovská, who started in the slalom in Aare for the first time in her career in the draw of fifteen, was in ninth place after a good ride in the first lap. In the second part, she reached the fifteenth time and dropped to 12th place. She also scored points in the eighth slalom of the season, the eighth in a row and the tenth in the order of the discipline.

After the first round, Shiffrin, who is now celebrating her 26th birthday, led 19 hundredths before Liensberger. However, the world champion drove the second race well and beat the American by 72 hundredths. She thus scored her first cup win and ended the waiting of Austrian women for a triumph in the World Championships slalom in December 2014 and this season in general.

Vlhová spent a dramatic day. In the first round, she almost fell after the fifth goal. Although she stayed on the track, she lost speed and took on a big deficit. She was almost three seconds behind Shiffrin at the finish. In the second round, however, she earned the fact that she started fourth and was the fastest, thanks to which she jumped by 19 places.

Vlhová scored 32 points for eighth place and is 96 points ahead of the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami in the overall standings before the final in Lenzerheide, which takes place next week. He will also fight for a small globe for slalom. Vlhová is only 22 points ahead of Liensberger and 37 points ahead of Shiffrin

The second Czech, Gabriela Capová, was forty-one and did not advance to the second round. She last did this in the World Cup in December 2019 in Killington, USA.

Mélanie Meillardová lost today’s slalom due to a positive test for coronavirus. According to the Swiss Confederation, he has mild symptoms of a cold and has been isolated since Friday night. She did not pass the 2nd round in the first slalom in Aare. The other members of the Swiss team had a negative test.

The final of the World Cup will start in Lenzerheide with speed disciplines, in which Ester Ledecká should also intervene. On Mondays and Tuesdays, downhill training sessions for Wednesday’s race are on the agenda. There is a super-G on Thursday, a team race on Friday, women’s slalom on Saturday and a giant slalom on Sunday. The men run the technical races in reverse order.
