Norwegian king hangs flag at half mast after death of Ari Behn

“It is warm to see that Ari has meant so much to so many,” said a spokesperson on behalf of the family.

The Norwegian state broadcaster NRK has added extra broadcasts to report on the death of the artist, writer and former husband of Princess Märtha Louise.

Flowers, cards, photos and candles are placed spontaneously at various places in the country. That is the case with the statue of King Karl Johan on the square in front of the Royal Palace in Oslo, with the house and the church in Ari his last hometown Lommedalen and in Moss, where he went to live with his parents in the late 1970s.
