Norwegian band a-ha starts Germany tour in Hanover

The Norwegian band a-ha will start their German tour on May 2nd with a concert in Hanover. The additional date was due to the high demand, said a spokesman for the organizer Hannover Concerts. The “play hunting high and low live” tour had already started in Mannheim at the end of 2019 and had to be interrupted due to the pandemic. Further concerts are planned in Frankfurt/Main (9 May), Berlin (11 May), Hamburg (12 May), Leipzig (14 May) and Cologne (15 May).

The tour celebrates the band’s 1985 debut album “Hunting High and Low” – all album tracks are played in correct order. There are also other hits from the past decades. With “Take on me” the three Norwegians around singer Morten Harket (62) landed a world hit that has now been clicked more than 1.4 billion times on YouTube. The band’s records have sold more than 100 million copies.

According to the spokesman, a maximum of 7,000 tickets can be sold for the concert in Hanover. According to the organizer, there are no access conditions with regard to mask and distance requirements or access restrictions (3G/2G/2G+). However, visitors are recommended to comply with the rules of distance and hygiene and to wear a mask.
