North Korean leader Kim Jong-un
Pyongyang will quickly mobilize nuclear deterrence against Seoul and Washington if necessary, the North Korean leader stressed.
The head of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, said that Pyongyang is fully prepared for any military conflict with the United States and threatened South Korea. This was reported on July 28 by the agency Yonhap with reference to the state media of the DPRK.
“I make it clear once again that North Korea is fully prepared for any military confrontation with the United States,” Kim Jong-un said at an event marking the 69th anniversary of the truce in the Korean War of 1950-1953.
The North Korean leader also warned South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol that the South Korean military would be destroyed if they made a “dangerous attempt.”
“If the South Korean regime and military thugs think to attack us and believe that they can neutralize or destroy some of our military power preemptively based on certain military means or methods, they are wrong,” the North Korean leader said.
Earlier, North Korea accused the US and South Korea of fomenting hostilities that could lead to the “Second Korean War”.
