The goal of the Native American Family Empowerment Center Project is to ensure access to appropriate services for tribal families with children who have disabilities and other health impairments as determined by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). ). The primary method used to accomplish this goal is to train Native American families with the knowledge necessary to work with schools and other state and local health and human services agencies.
