NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 26th that it has signed a two-year sponsorship agreement with KPGA professional golfer Moon Gyeong-jun at the headquarters of Nonghyup Bank in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The signing ceremony was held on this day with only some officials, including Nonghyup Bank President Kwon Jun-hak and Moon Gyeong-jun, attending due to Corona 19. Moon will participate in the game with the logo of Nonghyup Bank on his hat and uniform for the next two years, and will support public relations activities by attending official events or social contribution events hosted by Nonghyup Bank.
The Nonghyup Bank plans to discover and nurture golf junior prospects through an agreement with Moon player, and to promote sports marketing and social contribution activities by supporting junior players in various sports other than golf.
Moon is a late-cut golfer who first encountered golf as a liberal arts subject in his second year in college after being active as a tennis player until his first year in high school. Since joining KPGA in 2006, he won his first championship in the major tournament GS Caltex Maekyung Open in 2015, the 9th year of his tour debut. Since then, he achieved performances such as the 2019 KPGA Genesis Grand Prize and the 2020 LG SIGNATURE Players Championship 3rd place, and secured the right to participate in the European Tour last year.
Kwon Jun-hak, president of Nonghyup Bank, said, “Moon Kyung-jun is an icon of’sincerity’ and’consistency’ and is a model for juniors,” he said.
