Slowly but surely, hospitals are picking up air after the wave of admissions that has swept the country in recent weeks. The urgency of the situation and the overcrowding of intensive care had led to the postponement of numerous operations and technical acts, in a context of profound reorganization of services aimed at separating infected and healthy patients. From now on, “people come back and are less stressed”, notes Dr. Ahmad Awada, head of the oncology department at the Bordet Institute in Brussels.
