By comparing the corona access policy with the situation of the Jews in the thirties and forties of the last century, as Thierry Baudet does, no one can take it seriously anymore. That says Aron Vrieler of the Center for Information and Documentation Israel (CIDI) on Sunday in response to a tweet from Baudet.
“From [ongevaccineerden] are the new Jews, the outcast exclusions are the new Nazis and NSB members,” the Forum for Democracy leader tweeted earlier in the day.
Baudet “says now explicitly that we are reviving the Holocaust. This means that no one who is even slightly open to facts can take him seriously,” said Vrieler. “If Jews during the Holocaust could avoid their fate by taking two shots, they would have done so. He should be ashamed that he tramples on the memory of victims of the Holocaust, and moreover, now dismisses the majority of Dutch people as Nazis.” and NSB members.”
According to CIDI director Hanna Luden, Baudet contributes with these kinds of statements “to the denial of history. And that is very bad because young people take what he says as true and do not realize that he is spreading nonsense. History should not be raped.” She also believes that MPs should distance themselves from Baudet’s claims.
The FVD leader made his statements in response to a newsletter from opinion pollster Maurice de Hond. He expresses his concern about the cabinet’s proposal to make it possible to only allow vaccinated people and people who have demonstrably recovered from a corona infection to certain locations.

De Hond says the data does not support such a policy, but also makes a comparison with the situation of his Jewish parents. “At a certain point, they were also no longer allowed to visit certain places where they often came: cinemas, theaters, restaurants. And what struck them most was that those who were still allowed to visit these places, just continued to do so.”
Baudet has often associated the corona policy with the Second World War. For example, in the run-up to Liberation Day, his party made a poster suggesting that freedom had come to an end as a result of the corona policy. Baudet also defended people who protested against the corona policy by wearing a Star of David. After criticism from Jewish organizations, he stated that those organizations should not “claim” the war.
