No significant impact of the PlayStation 5 launch pandemic

The starting situation of the PlayStation 5 doesn’t seem too bad at the moment (even if the current global situation could lead to a limited supply). Sony noted that potential delays in titles from both first-party studios and third-party providers are “carefully” monitored by partners in the United States and Europe.

Sony expects profit growth for the current financial year

It seems that the other Sony departments didn’t fare as well during the outbreak. The report also claims that the company expects a profit increase that is now seemingly impossible due to the virus. It is good that the development on the PlayStation 5 has not suffered the same setbacks that the rest of the company seems to be fighting, especially given the enthusiasm for next-generation hardware that has skyrocketed in recent months.
