The preliminary relief judge did Friday statement, after the case was arrested on July 23. This happened because the parties first had to talk to each other, but that came to nothing.
KHN demanded a relaxation of the corona measures in the hospitality industry. According to the organization, the cabinet takes two measures by allowing people from different households to sit next to each other in public transport and in the car, but not at a table.
More support
If the rules do not change, the hotel and catering industry also wants the state to investigate further and to come up with additional financial support measures for the sector.
The judge dismisses these claims. It is an abbreviated judgment, which is why the precise reasoning of the judge will only follow later, no later than 11 September.

Need is high
KHN says in a response that it is disappointed in the verdict. There is understanding for the measures, but ‘there is a great need in the sector,’ says the industry. According to the industry, the rules are disproportionate to the damage being done. There is also no perspective for the entrepreneurs: nobody knows where it will end.
Many of them are therefore angry. The cabinet tightened up the measures this month On to get the coronavirus under control. Reservations are required again and guests are now asked for their contact details.

Not a profitable business
According to KHN, it will be made almost impossible for entrepreneurs to run a profitable business, if the terraces are no longer full, it will only get worse.
“This verdict is a slap in the face of many catering entrepreneurs”, says KHN chairman Robèr Willemsen. He says he is considering the verdict. Further action will follow when the judge’s motivation is known. In the meantime, the organization will talk to the government again.
