No HSV purchase: Harnik “Werder Bremen players again from July 1st”

An advantage of the missed climb. Every 3 games on average one goal participation is underground for a man with his experience!

That’s right, that’s not what you’d expect from Harnik. Of course, he also gets older. But, you could also include the following: At HSV it is now almost a tradition that all players in Hamburg get worse. Unfortunately a sad trend in the last almost 10 years. HSV’s shadow seems too big for many. Fortunately, there are counterexamples with Tim Leibold and Sonny Kittel.

I think that Harnik would tear more as a regular player at another club. Not with Werder – there, like HSV, he would never be an absolute regular. Düsseldorf or Pauli (if he wants to stay in the north) would be an option, I think.

However, this usually only applied to young players who did not fit for two skin-related reasons.
Players like Waldschmidt, Gregoritsch, who simply couldn’t cope with the constant pressure when they were young, or people like Kostic who simply need a functioning team. Players like Hahn have been on the descending path before and have been afterwards.

In addition to Leibold and Kittel, Vagnoman, van Drongelen, Letschert, Gyamerah, Dudziak and Jatta can also be mentioned. (At least if you leave out the last 8 games …)

Harnik is also past the zenith. I think in League 1 you don’t need Harnik, and in League 2 you don’t want to pay him … If there was a buyer, the Bremen team would be very happy …

Unfortunately I don’t see it that way. In recent years this has been a general problem, even with seasoned players like Ekdal, Behrami or Kostic. Were not just the Gregoritschs, Waldschmidts, Woods or Hwangs. The key is a functioning team. Every player needs that, not just Kostic. And that never happened.

But despite everything, think that Boldt is changing that, HSV will finally come out. Gyamerah cannot be assessed yet. Was very good at Bochum, so far could hardly play. I think it is solid to award Letschert a further development. I wouldn’t really want to include Vagnoman and Jatta here either, because they are not comparable to the previous ones. Unfortunately I cannot see that Jatta would have developed very much. Vagnoman is a talent from our own ranks that I hope can develop further. Too early to say anything. Rick van Drongelen, on the other hand, is definitely a player who has developed at HSV, even if he has often been lost. Maybe that would look a lot better at another club. Hard to say.

In general, I think that the reversal of this negative trend has started. If Kinsombi were to become a regular player, he would be another indication of that, I’m sure. By the way, that’s one thing I don’t understand at Hecking. Kinsombi instead of Hunt and you have a completely different dynamic in it. But you also have to trust him and let him play with you. Was absolutely outstanding at Holstein. With Kinsombi as a regular player, HSV would have risen. This is my opinion. But I don’t know Hecking’s motives. Just see Hunt slow the game down.

Don’t get me wrong, everything is not spiteful. My clubs are 96, Holstein and St. Pauli, I have great sympathy for Werder and Freiburg. But have nothing against HSV, some of my best friends are HSV fans. Glorious club, actually belongs to the top 4 in the Bundesliga. But the big name is often part of the problem.

Back to Harnik: He is not getting any younger. But he had had seasons before that didn’t work out. I think you can still expect up to 10 goals this season plus a few assists. So actually as usual. Only he has to be a regular player. And the question is who offers him that. It will be more of a second division club like St. Pauli. If it were enough for him to commute between the bank and the starting eleven, I think that Düsseldorf or even Union Berlin would also be suitable from both sides. With Harnik’s buddy Christian Gentner, Union already has experience with a player that many have already seen on a descending branch.

We’ll see!
