It was in the Auto Show the Tokyo where the Japanese brand has just revealed its selfconcept baptized as “Japanese Timeless Futurism” This incorporates a “shield” as a front element, as the words of the company describe it, which represents a renaissance in technology and design for the automotive firm.
This is how Nissan is ahead of the times with this proposal, eliminating the front grille that characterizes any combustion vehicle, which require it to allow the entry of air to the engine. “Al replace the conventional grill with the technological shieldIncorporating innovative 3D textures that go beyond aesthetic function, we wanted to underline the technology of this vehicle located just below the surface. In this case, its advanced technology helps Ariya Concept to analyze the road and detect elements that the driver cannot see, to make the invisible visible, ”said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of Global Design at Nissan, in an official statement.
This front element of the vehicle was built by a single piece with a japanese traditional geometric pattern. The same material was used for this polycarbonate employed in headlights of the car.
With this prototype, Nissan seeks to show the idea of future, where electrification and smart vehicles will offer a vision of adaptable travel, without accidents or harmful emissions for the environment. “The brand’s new design philosophy combines advanced technologies, including safety, connectivity, and human-machine interfaces, with a Japanese minimalist approach that is perfectly tailored to the driver’s lifestyle,” said Nissan.
