Nioh 2 receives the first DLC “The Student of Tengu”

The first DLC extension of the PlayStation 4 exclusive action role-playing game Nioh 2 is now available. The extensive DLC package “The Student of Tengu” offers an expanded campaign with new storylines as well as main and side missions. The DLC also includes new abilities, protective spirits, armor and items, and a new weapon. With this, players can improve and perfect their martial arts skills to be prepared for the new opponents, Yokai and bosses.

First glimpse into the DLC “The student of Tengu”

At the end of the Heian period, a great battle was fought in Yashima. The character visits Yashima and finds a shrine with a mysterious pipe called “Sohayamaru”. As she examines them, the pipe lights up brightly, while the shadows of lurking Yokai are visible in the background. It turns out that heroes who carry Sohayamaru with them go into battle in wartime to bring peace back to the country.

Further planned DLC packages

Team Ninja plans to release a total of three major DLC packages for Nioh 2. These will include new storylines, yokai, nasty bosses, protective spirits, skills, armor and new weapons. There will also be additional levels of difficulty and more endgame content, making the campaign even more comprehensive.

About Nioh 2

In Team Ninja’s action role-playing game Nioh 2, players master the arts of samurai and yokai – terrifying demon creatures from Japanese mythology. The sequel features challenging enemies with a reworked combat system and the ability to completely transform into a yokai and unlock its demonic powers. Players explore Sengoku-era Japan and the deadly Dark Realm – both haunted by grotesque, relentless demons.

Nioh 2 can be found in the PlayStation Store Standard and as Digital Deluxe Edition as well as in trade as standard and Special Edition be acquired. The three DLCs are in Season Pass included, which is also part of the Digital Deluxe Edition as well as the Special Edition.
