Nintendo Will Release Animal Crossing Christmas Series

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Nintendo announced that it has prepared a new series for Animal Crossing, New Horizons series Thanksgiving and Christmas. The renewal will take place on November 26, called Turkey Day, and there will be large meals in the town square.

In this update, Animal Crossing players will be able to earn rewards by helping out with cooking. Players can also collect ornaments from trees to create new seasonal items, while holiday-themed decorations and clothes will also be available. As The Verge reports, Nintendo says that new years themed items will also be available on December 26 and 31.

Additionally, the next game update will introduce storage data transfer and expansion for in-game storage. This feature was missing from Animal Crossing debuting in March.

This new feature will come to offer greater flexibility for island and population data. The whole island transfer feature will allow the user to move the user’s saved data along with the island itself, and all residents to another system. The Animal Crossing game update for this Christmas series will be available for free starting November 19.

As previously known, Nintendo said that their operating profit skyrocketed 428% in the first quarter of fiscal 2020, from April to June 2020. This reflects the video game industry has benefited from the Covid-19 pandemic.

It didn’t stop there, the company also said that Nintendo recorded the highest sales record in October in the United States. That month, the company revealed that sales reached 735,926 units.

Gadget Ndtv reported, this sales figure is a product of the Nintendo Switch, which was released in 2017, and the Nintendo Switch Lite which was released in 2019. And with the presence of the Animal Crossing Christmas Series at Nintendo, it is possible to increase Nintendo sales in December.
