Nintendo showed the first trailer for The Super Mario Bros. in a Nintendo Direct. Movie. In it, the voice of actor Chris Pratt is also heard for the first time in the role of the well-known Italian plumber. The film is expected to be screened in cinemas from April 7, 2023.
That Chris Pratt was voicing Mario was surprising news. The voice actor Charles Martinet has been speaking Mario’s voice for years and therefore his name is associated many Mario games. Pratt promised in June that his Mario voice “would be different from anything you’ve heard in Mario’s world”.
The trailer also shows several locations, including Penguin Kingdom and Mushroom Kingdom. Also you can hear the voices of the various characters in the game.
