Nintendo protects its brand “Mario & Luigi” – News

Mario and Luigi, two inseparable brothers who regularly found themselves at the heart of joint productions, like the recent Mario & Luigi: Journey to the center of Bowser + The epic of Bowser Jr. The title will have had no sales strong enough to save the AlphaDream studio, but that doesn’t mean the license has been abandoned.

As our colleagues from LetsGoDigital, Nintendo of America recently protected the Mario & Luigi brand in South America. Even if that does not mean that a new episode is necessarily in development, we can still deduce that the company intends to continue to use this RPG license. So let’s hope that a new talented studio will have the privilege of taking over the excellent work of AlphaDream and, why not, of publishing an unpublished episode on Switch.
