Due to a data breach at game giant Nintendo, a number of never released games have been made public. The leak would have been announced on the 4chan forum, writes Kotaku.
In the past year it has happened several times that there is classified information lekte from Nintendo. At the end of July, for example, old images, background information and even chat messages from the makers of the old games appeared on the internet.
This time it mainly concerns games for the Game Boy Color, which emerged in the late 1990s. The leak contains source codes for both released and never seen games. An example of this is Pokémon Picross, a puzzle game that was canceled after the announcement.
Other well-known titles from leaked games were Hello Kitty and Mega Man. It is not known how it is possible that another major leak occurred.
