Nine of the 70 immigrants who arrived in the Region flee from the Port of Cartagena | Radio Murcia

Nine of the 70 migrants who arrived in 5 boats to the coast of Cartagena in the last hours, who must be quarantined for having come with some people infected with Covid-19, have left the port area of ​​that city where they were guarded by the National Police.

According to the Government Delegation, some of these immigrants have already been located.

The migrants are waiting to be transferred to the facilities of the regional shelter of the El Valle-Carrascoy regional park that the Murcian Government has made available to the Spanish to serve as accommodation while they pass the preventive quarantine.

The two positives confirmed by COVID-19 from these boats are hospitalized at the Hospital de Santa Lucía. Of the remaining 68, about 30 should have been quarantined, according to Salud. The rest do not present symptoms or have had direct contact with the two positives, so those who voluntarily access were pending to be transferred to an NGO. Those who do not are released after 72 hours and while these procedures are being resolved, they are attended by the Red Cross in tents installed in the Port of Cartagena, which is where these nine immigrants have fled this afternoon.
