The sixty-year-old is suspected of having acted in a municipality in the Nîmes region. Three family members are suspected of not reporting a crime.
A 60-year-old was jailed on Friday after being indicted for rape (read our edition yesterday) and is suspected of having forced sex on his granddaughter, then aged 15 and until she was 17. Investigations revealed suspicions of sexual abuse of another of her young daughters, in her twenties, and the investigation allegedly uncovered an incestuous relationship with her own daughter. For this series of suspicions, the sexagenarian was heard by the investigating magistrate. Several members of the family (settled in the Nîmes region) including the mother of the teenager and the wife of the suspect have been implicated for not denouncing a crime. The rape case had emerged during an awareness day organized by the National Education where the teenager would have revealed the facts.
Everyone is presumed innocent until justice has been definitively served.
