Last Friday, a large videoconference auction took place in Nîmes with more than 550 lots presented. Among them, a vintage car, a Renault 8 Gordini, was sold for € 41,200.

In these times of health crisis, auctions continue under the hammer of masters Françoise Kusel and Pierre Champion, auctioneers ofIvory France in Nîmes. A new face appears in front of the webcam, that of master Frank Puaux, an auctioneer who joined the team in early November.
“We can continue our activity thanks to online sales, bidders on the Internet are indeed present and more and more numerous”, explains Pierre Champion. The latter noted it again this Friday November 27 when 550 lots were offered at an auction organized in Nîmes. Lots estimated on average of 30 to 50 € in leather goods and fashion accessories. Jewelery, decorative objects, musical instruments, dolls, old and modern paintings, a collection of gold coins and two gold ingots completed the sale.
With the highlight of the sale, a Renault 8 Gordini type R 1135 from 1966 estimated at the start between 30,000 and 40,000 €. Something to make all classic car enthusiasts dream. A vehicle finally bought at 41,200 €. Only 8,981 Gordini R 1135 were produced from 1966 to 1970, and the number of survivors is estimated at around 600 genuine vehicles. During the same session, a platinum and white gold ring was sold for € 8,500. This Thursday the Nîmes auction house is organizing a private collection sale of Citroën toys and two collections of Dinky Toys miniature vehicles.
