The Sport-Club Freiburg has renewed the contract with Nicolas Höfler. As usual, it was agreed not to disclose the content of the contract.
The midfielder came to Freiburg’s football academy from SC Pfullendorf at the age of 15 and initially played for the U17s, U19s and second team of the sports club. In the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons, the two-time Under-18 international gained second division experience on loan at FC Erzgebirge Aue. Since his return in the summer of 2013, the 32-year-old has been an integral part of Breisgau’s central midfield. “Chicco” has so far played 215 first division and 33 second division games for SC.
