Hollywood bad boy Nick Nolte turns 80 on February 8. Born in 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska, raised in Iowa and perhaps not everyone knows that as a young man he devoted himself to American football (his father had been a player of Iowa State University): after obtaining his diploma he played in the teams of several colleges (the Pasadena City College in Southern California, Arizona State University in Tempe, Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher and Phoenix College in Phoenix), but dropped out due to poor academic performance. This is not the only curiosity concerning the actor, winner of a Golden Globe in 1992.
