Donny van de Beek helped Manchester United to a 0-3 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion in the eighth finals of the League Cup on Wednesday evening with a nice assist. In Spain Real Madrid booked a difficult home win over Real Valladolid: 1-0.
In the 73rd minute, Van de Beek provided the assist to Juan Mata’s 0-2 for Manchester United in the League Cup match with Brighton. The Orange International prepared the Spaniard’s hit with a nice heel.
Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba made the other hits for United. Van de Beek participated the entire match with the visitors, where Timothy Fosu-Mensah remained on the bench. Joël Veltman was also present for ninety minutes at Brighton.
Newcastle United escaped an embarrassment against Newport County. The Welsh team that plays in the League Two, the fourth level in England, was only beaten on penalties after the game ended in 1-1 after regular time.

In Spain, Vinícius Júnior scored the only goal for Real Madrid against Real Valladolid halfway through the second half.
