The Green Bay Packers have fired backup quarterback Kurt Benkert, general manager Brian Gutekunst officially announced on Friday. The 26-year-old only played against the Chicago Bears in 2021 and recorded two runs for a yard loss in his short stint. Jordan Love and Danny Etling will stand in for starter Aaron Rodgers after Bankert’s departure.
