NFC payments with smart watches and bracelets. One of the things that the owners of these facilities and potential newcomers are very interested in. For example, the notorious and extremely popular bracelets from Xiaomi have an NFC module in generations 3, 4 and 5. However, payment options are regionally limited and, until recently, strictly concerned China. The first swallow of foreign access to NFC payments was Russia, whose market they already operate through a Mi Band 4 bracelet. Now they are officially joining two more European countries to the west. NFC payments through Xiaomi Mi Band 4 now operate in Ukraine and Belarus.
In both countries, Xiaomi was able to achieve this thanks to the partnership with MasterCard. Therefore, in order to make payments, users must have not only an NFC variant of the bracelet, but also a card from this well-known issuer. Nothing is known about the further expansion of payment options through Mi Band bracelets. For example, the fifth generation did not go outside China in the NFC version at all. Newly functional NFC payments via Xiaomi Mi Band 4 in Belarus and Ukraine but they suggest that things are moving in the right direction. By this we mean not only the West, but also the general effort of the Chinese company to expand the function further.
