Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post (SCMP) announced on the 16th that the UK, the chair of the Seven Advanced Countries (G-7) Summit next year, will invite Korea, India and Australia as guest countries.

According to the SMCP, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office “must work together with leaders of South Korea, India and Australia to promote shared interests and meet common challenges.” I will invite them.”

However, it has not yet been decided whether the G-7 summit next year will be held as a face-to-face meeting or video conference due to the Corona 19 situation.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said he would like to invite Korea, Australia, Russia and India as guest countries at this year’s G-7 meeting, but it was destroyed due to a new coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

As Russia falls into the host country, some analyzes say that this invitation is a check against China. The SCMP pointed out that the strong movement of China in the Indo-Pacific region has led to active diplomatic activities of Western countries toward India, Australia and ASEAN countries.
