Next year, the construction of the South Jakarta-Cikampek II toll road is completed

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Road Development Toll Jakarta-Cikampek II South still ongoing.

The paid highway is targeted for completion in March 2022 for Section III of Taman Mekar-Sadang along 27.85 kilometers, which currently has reached 42.58 percent.

Meanwhile, Section I, which connects Jatiasih-Setu with a length of 9.3 kilometers, and Section 2 of Setu-Taman Mekar with a length of 24.85 kilometers, is targeted for completion in June 2022.

Currently Sections I and II are still in the land acquisition stage.

Minister of Public Works and People’s Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimulyono said there was a road tolls connected to productive areas like this will facilitate public accessibility, reduce logistics costs and increase the competitiveness of domestic products.

“The presence of this toll road can of course reduce logistics costs, facilitate accessibility and also increase the competitiveness of our domestic products,” said Basuki in a written statement, Sunday (07/03/2021).

The Jakarta-Cikampek II Selatan toll road is designed to connect the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) 1, JORR 2 and Purwakarta-Bandung-Cileunyi (Purbaleunyi) toll roads.

PT Jasamarga Jakarta Cikampek Selatan, which stretches for 62 kilometers at a cost of Rp.8.8 trillion, is being worked on by PT Jasamarga Jakarta Cikampek.

The construction is divided into three sections, namely Section 1 Jatiasih-Setu along 9.3 kilometers, Section 2 Setu-Taman Mekar with a length of 24.85 kilometers, and Section 3 Taman-Mekar Sadang along 27.85 kilometers.

The Jakarta-Cikampek II Selatan Toll Road is a National Strategic Project (PSN) built through APBN / APBD, BUMN, and private financing.

This is in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 109 of 2020 concerning the Third Amendment to Presidential Regulation Number 3 of 2016 concerning the Acceleration of the Implementation of National Strategic Projects (PSN) issued on 17 November 2020.

South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road will have seven Toll Gates ( GT) namely, GT Jati Asih, GT Bantar Gebang, GT Setu, GT Sukaragam, GT Taman Mekar, GT Kutanegara, and GT Sadang.

Its presence is expected to increase economic growth and the development of industrial, residential and tourist areas along the toll road alignment.
