Next hurdle: AMS wants Osram entirely

In the takeover poker (click here) around the German Osram Licht AG (Osram), AMS AG is now planning the next big coup. She wants to conclude a control agreement with the German lighting company. For this, as AMS IR chief Moritz (Gmeiner) tells me, she needs 75 percent approval (read more here in the new Börsian magazine) at the extraordinary general meeting. It won’t be easy. Major shareholders such as Norges Bank and Blackrock have recently increased their stake in Osram shares and want to have a say. AMS AG itself holds 59.9 percent of Osram.

Osram CEO Olaf (Berlien) recently clarified in an analyst call:

“If there is no domination agreement, AMS AG and Osram are two independent companies. We treat all Osram shareholders equally. “

I tell you, it will be very exciting! In any case, I will keep you up to date.
