by Ethan Caldwell

HOKKSUND: The police and ambulance are at a private address in Hokksund in connection with a violent incident.

– Will be updated when we have more information, reports the police.

At 23.40, the police inform that a knife has been used, and that the victim has been stabbed in several places. The person has been taken to hospital in an ambulance.

– The police cannot say anything about the degree of damage.

The suspected perpetrator has been arrested, and it will be two local men, say the police.

Operations manager Trond Egil Groth tells Drammens Tidende that both are known to the police, but that it is currently too early to say anything about the background to the incident.

The arrest took place without drama, in an apartment in the immediate area, he informs.

– We are now securing the scene and interviewing some witnesses. The case will be investigated from now on during the night hours and resumed more during the day tomorrow, says Groth, who cannot say anything more about the extent of the damage except that the victim has knife wounds in several places on the body.
