News from Cali: The ex-wife of ‘El Sobrino’, an ally of the Comba clan, was killed | Latest news – Cali – Colombia


Ana María Gallo was attacked when she was in front of the church of San Judas, on Avenida Sexta del norte in the capital of Valle.

She was the ex-wife of a man known as ‘The nephew‘, who came to the country after being detained in the United States four years ago. No arrests have been reported for the attacks against women.

At 7:35 pm on Thursday night, he would have arrived in a high-end van at Avenida Sexta and Calle 15 Norte, near the Granada neighborhood, where commerce is mixed with a traditional residential sector. The car was parked in front of the traditional San Judas church.

Versions would indicate that gunmen attacked her when she got out of a car and another that was coming out of a building, near the church. It was also said that she was in the parked car when the attack occurred.

The 41-year-old woman from Buga received seven impacts that forced her to be transferred to a clinic in the west of the city, but died in the emergency room.

The other attacks

At 8:30 p.m. on August 28, 2016, hitmen shot a couple who were traveling by car on Carrera 66, a rumba sector in the south of the city.

Jhon Erman Galvis Rincón, a Colombian-American citizen, was killed in the attack, while Ana María Gallo was wounded. A third occupant of the vehicle took them to a medical center, but Galvis died.

Christian Hernán Vélez, ‘el Sobrino’, who was recognized as a businessman and for his knowledge in four languages, but who was extradited, he had been prosecuted by the Eastern District Court of New York as one of the business coordinators of the Calle Serna brothers, ‘los Comba’, with the Mexican mafia and with Venezuelan drug traffickers.

The woman had suffered a first attack in 2010 after the capture and extradition of her ex-husband, who was said to be the link between the Mexican cartel of ‘Los Zetas’ and Venezuelan drug traffickers with the organization of the ‘Comba’ brothers.

In these events, the woman suffered two gunshot wounds and one of the projectiles was embedded in her body.

Authorities say Mauricio Fina, alias Gaviota, his cousin, was captured in Mexico in 2008 as an alleged link between the Valle mafia and the Sinaloa cartel. Similar syndication was made to a close friend, who is also linked to drug networks in Palmira and Buga (Valle).

The Police reported that a follow-up was undertaken to identify and locate the aggressors who would travel on a motorcycle and a taxi.
