Tens of thousands of bees caused confusion on Tuesday afternoon in New York City, when they gathered on the umbrella of a hot dog vendor in Times Square.
Authorities have decided to close the intersection of 42nd Street and 7th Avenue, while a specialist from the New York police force sucks up the insects to transport them to a more suitable location.
Andrew Coté helped the New York police force to evacuate the swarm, estimated at nearly 30,000 individuals. “It can happen when it’s very hot or if there is overcrowding. And today, there were perhaps two reasons ”, explained the beekeeper to the site Inverse.
