The New York City Marathon, originally scheduled for Nov.1, was canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic, race organizers said Thursday.
The New York Road Runners, in association with the mayor’s office, said the decision to cancel the event was made due to concerns for the health and safety of runners, spectators, volunteers and staff related to the coronavirus.
